My Review:  I found this series to be an amazing and fun read! I love how it pulls many fairytale/disney characters in but they are NOTHING like what you'd expect from the tales.  I love the beautiful details and her ability to capture the worlds so clearly.  I was told about this series by a friend, but didn't think it'd be a big hit on my radar...after reading the first 4...I kept reading and was unable to put down.  I am considering reading these stories with my daughter who is 7 as they show how women don't have to be weak and depend on a "prince" and how the perfect guy can be a creep.  I LOVE this series and will be blogging my way through them all! I give this book (1-4) a 5 out of 5! Well Done!

They make a deal to get married, for the last three months of her life.

Just before her eighteenth birthday, the doctors tell Emily she has three months to live. Not much time to complete the bucket list she's had since she was twelve. The first item is the hardest--"Get married"--so she turns to the only man she knows who can help.

Paul, a barely reformed bad boy, has inherited a fortune from his mother, but his life is defined by his conflicted relationship with his father--a white-collar, organized-crime boss who, thanks to Paul, is being brought up on federal charges. Without Emily's testimony, his father might walk, so Paul agrees to her unconventional proposal. He'll be her husband for her last three months.

They agree that she'll testify against his father and he'll help her complete her bucket list. It's not supposed to be a true marriage. No consummation. No future. No love.

No love.

She's supposed to die, after all, and love might not be enough.

The complete serial novel (Volumes I-VI) - a USA Today bestseller.

My Review: I haven't read a book series this impactful in a VERY long time.  The first Listed book drew me in to this world....Noelle was able to capture the two main characters so well.  The two unlikely people who make a deal....and how with the progressive health decline and the "list" things change.  I admit at one point I was literally in tears bawling for them.  Noelle was able to build such a vivid world that I wouldn't be surprised if this was a life story retelling...the emotions and insecurities and little quirks of real life were all packed into this wonderful series.  I was up late into the night last night and read virtually nonstop all day today to complete it.  I couldn't stop and had to know the ending.  This series has earned a 5 out of 5 on my scale.  WELL DONE.

So it has been a long while since I posted last.  I have been reading nonstop but haven't been as diligent with my reviewing posting.  I will recap all recent books read now:

Dark Gold - Alex & Aiden: this story is amazing! I loved how it deviated from the rest of the series with him being in USA and also with the human family involved.  I really enjoyed how they met and was kept mesmerized on the edge of my seat through the whole book.  I finished this book very fast as it was so exciting.  Also loved the depth of the twins and their compassion for each other.

Dark Magic - Savannah and Gregori: this story brings a few different aspects to the series.  It is also based in USA but has elements of the old world (Gregori) and the new age (Savannah).  It was a high point reading this book and I enjoyed how through all the previous books Gregori says to the other male carpathians how he would treat his lifemate and how she would listen and just goes to show how one doesn't know how they would react until it happens.

Dark Challenge - Julian and Desari: I LOVE how she brought a whole new cast of charecters into this world! what a wonderful group and I was so very excited to hear all the stories behind the charecters.  I really enjoyed the banter of the siblings but was heartbroken when I learned of Syndils recent tragedy.

Dark Fire - Darius and Tempest: Darius is so much like Gregori in alot of ways including how he expected his lifemate to be.  I really enjoyed reading along and seeing how a domineering man ends up with a headstrong woman willing and able to stand up to him.

Dark Dream - Falcon and Sara: Once again Christine was able to bring a whole new depth to the storybook of charecters.  I enjoye3d the depth of this charecter Falcon and how he is actually much older than the Prince....he is an ancient.  How very intriging that they were able to hide through all the centuries.

Dark Legend - Gabriel & Francesca: This story once again went by too fast.  I truly enjoyed the interactions and while this story was with an ancient of Gregoris line it had a far different baseline and far different story.  I enjoyed the fiercly independence of Francesca and her ability to set out on her own and make a life for herself.  This book appealed to the femanism deep inside me.

I am currently reading Dark Guardian - Lucian and Jaxxons' harrowing tale.

All above books are available on Kobo and other ebook services and can be ordered in hardback at your local bookstore.

I want to also update you as it may affect my posting timings.

So I got a membership to my local library on my good friends urging.  I browsed through their available online collection and found one that peeked my interest.  I figured in my spare time when I couldn't actually read I could play an audiobook too.  Well within one chapter I was hooked and couldnt put it down more less pickup my book I was midway through.

Lauren Kate sets the scene and makes you fall in love with all the characters.  My heart was pulled right and left and stretched through this book.  It's evolution into a series is very exciting to me.  I wait the next book anticipating greatly. Very well written.

Continuing with the series by Christine Feehan I have spent numerous hours consecutively reading her next instalment in the series.  It draws me in further by the book.

Jacques........Shea.......what an interesting tale.  While I want to reiterate I have read this full series before I still have my favorite characters and story's, not my fave.  I enjoyed his carefree nature in the Dark Prince but this book didn't carry that on. For good reasons.  I guess it was a reminder of how much the ugly in evil in this real world can effect something so much and I use my books to escape the ugliness.  I think the writing is superb and it draws me into the world further.  I am intrigued by the new books and while they are a ways out (26+ books in this series so far).......it's going to keep me reading a long while.

March 24, 2014

I thoroughly enjoy reading but one thing that makes the experience that much better...is reading at the same time as a friend and sharing the thrills and such.   I picked up this series again because my best friend is reading it.

I. Believe I have read this series twice now and EVERYTIME it seems to get better.

This was pulled from Christinefeehan.com and is a great guide into the world of Carpathians.  I truly enjoy this series but the depth Christine has brought to this world is amazingly detailed.

I am on book two and highly enjoying debates already about this world.  This is a great series to pickup if looking for a read!

March 21, 2014

Ok so I have been slack with posting my blogs lately. Doesn't mean I slowed down in my reading. 😊
I have run through almost the complete Guild Hunter Series by Nalini Singh.  I guess the series was so powerful I didn't have energy between books to blog. I will attempt to catch up now.

I quite enjoyed this book. It was exciting to see a strong woman in world dominated by men.  I enjoyed the power plays and the interactions with her and Dmitri.  This book was a great introduction into the series and I was enthralled.

This series enthralled me from book one but the more I read the more fantastical this world became.  I love how the seven of Raphael's are at war with themselves as she is his greatest weakness but he would pick her over them.  Fantastic read!  I also began to fall in love with Dmitri and Illium.  What wonderful depth of charecters she portrays!

EVERYTIME I read about Elena's upbringing it brings a slight tightening to my chest. She has been through traumas left and right and to see the strength she is still able to exude (even though a fictional character) is still an inspiration.  She is becoming a beacon of strength through the books and the development of other charecters as they learn to love her as the miracle angel she is.....is heartwarming.
The long awaited story of Dmitri.......it hurt to read parts of his past and if I am being honest I cried.  The pure love and devotion he felt for his first wife was awe inspiring and something of legends.  I was very skeptical at the way things were going between them but Nalini pulled it off and this is an awesome story. Great job!

Jason......not to be outdone by Dmitri......his story rocked! I enjoyed the back and forth and the hidden agendas.  I think these two are a great story and fit in the world while giving Liajuans world a much more sinister depth.  Loving this series!

This book was awesome and kept me wanting more and more.  I hate waiting for the next book as if it's a movie half done......I understand a writer must take time to live too but the amazing capability to build an entire world like this is something remarkable and her talent is amazing.  I am waiting patiently for the next install, emt in this series.

I know there are a few anthologies in this series I haven't reviewed.  I skipped them and will go back soon to review them (I.e. Galen's story)
